National weather officials expect temperatures in the negative for northeast Illinois in the coming week. Light snow is also expected tonight with freezing drizzle south of the Kankakee River.

Monday’s temperature will be between 9 and 22 degrees, with a morning air cool in the low 10s and high 10s. Tuesday’s temperature will be between 9 and 19 degrees, while the morning air cool will be between 3 degrees below and 11 degrees.

Wednesday will be warm with a minimum temperature of 21 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.

City of Chicago offers six community service centers as warming centers When the temperature drops below 32 degrees. They are open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
