On 4th November 2021, everyone enjoyed Diwali, “The festival of lights” and enthusiastically took part to celebrate the joyous and delightful festival. Same went for the BSF group who are at present taking care of the Mankachar’s Kaitatar Fence of the border of India and Bangladesh.

They celebrated diwali by lighting diyas and lights on the side of the fence along with the residents and locals who were present to accompany them in doing so. They distributed sweets and wished each other and made it a blissful moment.

The BSF personnel’s who take care of the border all day long and makes sure that there is no turbulence occurring each time and takes care of the security of he people, don’t even have the opportunity to celebrate a festival with their families. The lakhs and lakhs of personnel perform their duty and offer their life for the service of the nation and rarely can attend a family event however when there is any of the festivals the jawans celebrate it at their respective BSF camps and keep their rituals and culture alive.

This time too in order to take part in the occasion that’s filled with the joy and happiness, they celebrated it by lighting diyas, lights, crackers and offering their prayers in their respective area of duty of Mankachar’s area joining India and Bangladesh.  They distributed sweets to the Village panchayat and played and enjoyed with the kids by helping them with diyas, sweets and crackers.

It was a warm and happy moment that had happened at the border of India and Bangladesh at Mankachar making the festival more delightful. The BSF personnel too got a moment to enjoy themselves amid their hectic duty and schedule of taking care of the people and guarding the border. This made them celebrate the ‘Festival of lights with the feeling of happiness and joy in their heart along with all other citizen of India.
