Her department works to maximize economic opportunities and broaden initiatives that highlight Miami’s rich heritage and the multicultural world that we have, “second to none,” she said.

Mr. Kinnard spent 19 years at the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corporation as Vice President of Multicultural Sales and Development. She moved to Miami in 2015 to lead the newly formed MTDD and says there is much more to be done to highlight Miami’s multicultural scene.

“What we’re doing is not one-dimensional, it’s multi-dimensional,” she said, adding that it is gratifying to be part of cultivating and renewing Miami’s culture.
