Student Mukti Sangram Samiti Protested against The Price Hike In Bordumsa
On Wednesday, 27 th October 2021, members of Student Mukti Sangram Samiti protested against the price hike in every essential commodity at Bordumsa by burning the puppet of Assam’s Chief Minister, Shri Hemanta Biswa Sarma and Supply Minister, Shri Ranjeet Kumar Das.
The recent price hike in every essential commodities have resulted in heavy sense of helplessness and despair among the common people of the country. The people work hard daily and earn a bit just to have a good meal and provide it to their family but with the current situation of rise in the prices of even common items used for cooking had left the people in deep thought now.
With the high waves alarming the situation, the government and supply officials should have taken some steps up until now but there was no movement seen from their sides. The public who are expecting a bit of help from their side was engraged and hence a group of people from Student Mukti Sangram Samiti took a step and protested against the price hike and against the no effort taken by the government for this situation.
The price hike of essential commodities had left the general public in difficult position where it had become even more difficult to have a simple good meal without concerning about the amount in one’s wallet. The rise in essential commodities including petroleum and diesel products, food items had caused a lot of commotion in the daily life of the people.
The people had slogans stating ” BJP government go back! Go back! ” ” Chief Minister murdabad! Supply minister muradabad!” ” Jai ai Axom” and their banners showed the reason of their protest where it was written ” Price Hike protest”. There were a lot many people there supporting the protest and fighting for the needs so as their voices are heard.
When one of the member was asked about it he said, ” In this few days it is seen that the prices of commodities had sky rocketed and had left the people in despair as well as created a havoc. Let it be petrol or cooking oil each and everything has become a lot expensive. Now the people have to think before buying even a cooking oil wondering if he would be able to feed his family with this high price. So we the people of Student Mukti Sangram Samiti are here protesting and fighting against the inflation that had left us dry and ask the people to raise their voices and support us in the movement so that it is heard by the people sitting above and would bring a change for all.”
